MTPro2 vs Y&Y MathTime

From the yandytex@tug.org list: I'm now using PcTeX' MTPro2 font package, whose prototype is Y&Y's mathtime complete font set.I wonder if we can say that the original mathtime is completely substituted by MTPro plus or the newly MTPro2, in other words, if we can say that, for MTPro2 users , it is ...

Re: Uninstalling pctex 6

I have a previous version of PCtex 5 installed and now I'm removing it and installing pctex 6. As a test before I do it on the network, I did it on my machine. mtpro2 interacts with 'url' package

A user reported:

The subscriptcorrection option in mtpro2 interacts with the url package to produce additional underlines in web addresses. In particular, it inserts an underline _ following a dash - in the address. Thus

Code: Select all

http://www.aa-bb
comes out

Code: Select all

http://www.aa-_bb

Re: using \boldmath within MathPro2

I recently purchased MathPro2 Lite, which does not allow \boldmath. I have other tex files where I have \boldmath. Is there a way that I can compile a tex file under MathPro2 and somehow still use \boldmath? Walter Schmidt writes: No, this is not possible, because the MTPro2 fonts have a very parti...

Re: Replacements for Y and Y fonts

I have inherited a legacy LaTex class that uses the following fonts: mh1, mtex, mtmi, mtsy, and mtsyb. I believe these fonts are from the old "Y and Y" family. I have installed on my computer the Math Time Pro and Math Time Pro 2 font sets. I'm hoping to substitute new fonts from these set...

Re: Install released ver 6 over beta?

I just downloaded and ran the installer for PCTeX ver 6 release. I installed where the installer offered, namely, over the existing beta version. But the About window still lists the version as "PCTeX ver 6.0 (beta)", even after I install the new password that was e-mailed to me. Do I hav...

Re: Problems with Math Time Pro 2

Since I began using MikTex 2.5 I am unable to run papers written with Math Time Pro 2 fonts. I get an error message MikTeX problem report: unknown exception. And thereafter, invalid DVI file. What can I do to fix this problem? Since the fonts work with most other TeX systems, it's probably best to ...

Re: File icons reset if v5 is removed after v6 is installed

Today I removed the v5 version of PCTeX from my computer, leaving v6. All of the .tex files that used to display the capital N in their icon, now display the Windows default (window-like with two dots). The .aux files are ok. I'm not sure whether there was a icon change for other files in the TeX d...

Re: Graphics include wizard corrupts the image's aspect rati

The wizard is squaring my rectangular figures, with the preserve aspect ratio already checked. Issue was verified with other eps figures as well. The .eps files were built with Adobe Photoshop and work fine except with the new wizard. The sample eps file you sent has extraneous data at the head of ...
