Re: MTPRO2 with Y&Y tex - my results
HOWEVER : I am surprised by the small variations in character positions between the two PDF files. I would expect tex/dvips to produce identical positioning, but there are subtle shifts in some characters but not in others. Fortunately for me, my version looks better :-) 3) something in the fonts n...

Re: spacing
Hello, Please have a look at the spacing of these equations - $[]_{\langle n\times m\rangle}$ (the brackets touch) - $Z_{F1}$ (F and 1 spacing) - $\frac{L_L}{L_R}$ (the subscript L too close to the fraction rule) Michael The $\frac{L_L}{L_R}$ is not a font issue. Things are just as bad for Computer...

Based on what you told me about the characters printing out, I think everything is going to be honky-dory, and I emailed you all the new pfbs and pfms. I don't know just how the uploading and downloading to this group works, but in any case the uploading seems to be done one file at a time (it's rea...

In the upload area, which you supposed can access by clicking https://secure.pctex.com/support/upload/ I have placed new mt2hbit.pfb and .pfm (also .tfm, although this is the same as the old one). You might first check that you can install the font. Then you might try the following. Make a file that...

Re: no "weirdness of Y&Y" involved!
However, ATM would NOT install any of MTBMST, MTBSYAF, MTBSYAS, MTHSYAF, MTHSYAS, and MTHSYAT -- it says "the font file is invalid". Murray I presume you meant MT2BMST, MT2BSYAF, etc., since those are the fonts in MTproTwo. (?) If you give me an email address I will send you an MT2BMST.pf...

Re: no pfm's ==> cannot install mtp2 fonts for Y&Y
Y&Y TeX expects to find fonts in my usual Type 1 font repository. Since I use Adobe Type Manager Deluxe, I need to add a set for these fonts and then activate them. But to use ATM to recognize and install fonts under its control, I need to select the pfm's. There were none provided with this di...

glyph names
I guess this is important (at least for some people), so we should make a decision. What I personally don't understand is why any one would care. 1. First of all, surely a mathematician would like to search according to the TeX name. I suppose some one might guess that \forall is "really" ...

bad epsilon
This depends on the Postscript interpreter you use. Adobe's interpreter installed in my HP LJ 4MP draws the symbol correctly, while ghostscript software fills the \notin exactly as shown in your posting. Best regards Andrei Actually, I believe that HP uses its own clone, which is different from Ado...

MTPro2 Nearly Ready
New features in MTPro2. Instead of a basic set of fonts, with various supplements, MTPro2 now comes in either a basic "lite" version, or a complete version, which includes all the additional features that previously appeared in supplements, including Times versions of the various AMS symbo...

Re: New Mathtime Symbols.
I would like to see a boldface dotless i and j, to allow accents to be placed over these letters. It currently seems to be possible to make a boldface dotless i, but not j. I could also get some good use out of upside-down versions of \curvearrowleft and \curvearrowright (i.e. convex downward). Dav...
