lucimatx clash with flexisym: upper-case Greek math

There is a clash between he package flexisym.sty (or breqn.sty) from CTAN and lucimatx.sty: upper-case Greek math letters are not shown in the pdf but are replaced by various accents. Example source: \documentclass{article} %\usepackage[lucidascale]{lucidabr} % no clash with flexisym using lucidabr ...

Installing for MacTeX: diferent localtexmf location

I think that with current distribution of MacTeX, the place to which one wants to unzip the mtpro2 archives is now ~/Library/texmf rather than /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local which is where the docs at http://www.pctex.com/kb/74.html currently describe.[/code] In fact, when I try to unzip (within Fin...

other logical symbols??

that seems reasonable (and is extremely easy). any other logic symbols that are needed? I know a little about logic, but am by no means a logician, so I'm not the one to ask. Certainly the quantifiers, implication arrows, and sequent symbol (\vdash) are already there. The only one I was missing for...

logical definite descriptor operator

I'd very much like to see included the "inverted iota" definite descriptor operator from logic.

Right now, I have to resort to the subterfuge of inverting a regular iota and adjusting its position; the results are not always optimal.

setting optional paths

When I set additional, optional directories (Settings > Directories...), is there a way to tell PCTeX to use a whole tree, that is, all directories at the specified one and subdirectories of it? (I'm trying to use TeX Gyre fonts, for which I downloaded the necessary fonts, metrics, etc., and associa...

Enlarging bullet for items with Lucida Bright

In reply to a similar query I posted to a mailing list, several people pointed out that the lucidabr package already includes an altbullet option that does the trick. The code for that option in lucidabr.sty is: \DeclareOption{altbullet}{% \normalfont \DeclareTextCommand \...

How enlarge bullet for itemize items?

To my eye, the bullet for itemize list items that is provided by default with Lucida fonts in a LaTeX article document is entirely too small: it appears as barely a dot. And it seems out of place in what is otherwise a somewhat "heavy" font. How can one make a larger bullet. I've tried the...

change pdf viewer?

In PCTeXv6, when I typeset to pdf, the viewer that pops up is Adobe Acrobat Reader. Is it possible to change that? How? One reason I ask is that I wonder, also, whether inverse search is possible with PCTeX. I believe that Acrobat Reader may not support it, but some other pdf viewers, e.g., SumatraP...

pdeTeX.dll crashing

I'm trying to LaTeX a document that is supposed to be typeset using pdfLaTeX; it uses pdfpages.sty, among other packages. When I typeset, I'm consistently getting a crash of pdfeTeX.dll. If I try to Typeset Again (after sending the error report to Microsoft when the usual program error pop-up appear...

Re: Install released ver 6 over beta?

I just downloaded and ran the installer for PCTeX ver 6 release. I installed where the installer offered, namely, over the existing beta version. But the About window still lists the version as "PCTeX ver 6.0 (beta)", even after I install the new password that was e-mailed to me. Do I hav...

Re: using \boldmath within MathPro2

Hello: I recently purchased MathPro2 Lite, which does not allow \boldmath. I have other tex files where I have \boldmath. Is there a way that I can compile a tex file under MathPro2 and somehow still use \boldmath? Thanks for your help. Art Wagner According to the comparison of the Math Pro 2 Lite ...
