Distribution updates v0.994; other info

Post by PTIForAdmin »

MathTimeProfessional II v0.994 beta testing.

Changes since v0.991:

Added \circdashbullet and \bulletdashcirc as new symbols, in all three sizes, in both the regular, bold, and heavy symbol fonts. New font files were added, and the mtp macros and documentation were updated.

LaTeX version changes:

\circdashbullet and \bulletdashcirc are treated as symbols
of their own.

By default, lowercase Greek letters are declared as mathalpha,
and the \mathbold alphabet is always available; the option
[boldalphabet] is gone
. If necessary, the default
behavior of the lc Greek letters can be restored through a new
option [compatibilitygreek]
. Please, take a look at section
2.2 of the documentation, which has been rewritten accordingly

Changes since v0.99:

* The advertised package options [mtphbi] and [mtpbbi] have been implemented now.

Walter Schmidt requests that you test this version as follows:
From now on, please, load the mtpro2 package always with the option
[boldalphabet], regardless of whether or not this is needed in fact..
It would be important for me to know whether doing so causes any
compatibility problems with existing documents or macro packages.
Please, try this out with as many documents as possible!
Changes since v0.98:

* New font metrics for math italic fonts (mt2mit, mt2mis, mt2mif)

Changes since v0.97:

* Added pfms and modified pfbs and tfms to accommodate Y&Y TeX
* mtpro2.sty: fixed compatibility issue re. (n)german.sty
* mtpro2.sty: added relation symbols \bulletdashcirc and \circdashbullet, as suggested by M.Zedler
* mtpro2.dtx is now available

See below for download and installation instructions for PCTeX and
non-PCTeX systems. When you download the new package you will
be asked to agree to the beta test terms.

If you agree to the terms please begin testing. Send any feedback or questions via
the MTP2 private online forum. This forum will be visible to MTPro2 beta testers only.

Dear beta testers,

from now on, please, load the mtpro2 package always with the option
[boldalphabet], regardless of whether or not this is needed in fact..
It would be important for me to know whether doing so causes any

Dear Walter,

I just installed mtpro2.sty [2006/04/10 v0.994beta],
and there is no [boldalphabet] option ...

I am very confused.

With the latest (and hopefully final) beta release, the [boldalphabet]
option does not exist any more, and the \mathbold alphabet is always
available by default. Just read the announcement and the documentation!

I have dared to introduce this change, because the were no reports
about the boldalphabet option causing any problems.
