The DVI viewer of v6 beta, dated 4 Jan 2008, exhibits two unpleasant
faults:
---Magnification Tool: a black rectangle shows up first, then the
underlying text is displayed; thereafter, a click on another part of screen
momentarily produces two black rectangles, the previous one and the new one.
---Selection Tool: dragging draws a blank borderless rectangle and the
whole screen is extremely jittery; the display only settles down when
dragging is stopped, and then the rectangle's dashed border
and contents appear.
Same on two machines (one with on-board Intel graphics, the other with
Matrox Millennium G450 card).
Both tools work properly in v6 beta of 18 Oct 2007, and earlier.

Re: Two Faults of DVI Viewer
These were some side effects of trying to improve the text quality. Should be OK in the next beta release.TomK wrote:The DVI viewer of v6 beta, dated 4 Jan 2008, exhibits two unpleasant
